BEFORE & AFTER CARE

PREPARING FOR YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT

DO's

  • Get a restful night’s sleep before your appointment.

  • Have a hearty breakfast or lunch about an hour prior.

  • Stay hydrated and bring a snack (like candy or chocolate) for energy.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area. Consider bringing headphones, a phone charger, and any personal items that help you feel relaxed (like a favorite blanket or pillow).

  • Bring the correct amount of cash or use E-Transfer for payment.

  • Take our teams advice when it comes to the design. After dedicating their lives to tattooing, they can point you in the right direction to make your tattoo look the best it can, even if your cousin is a graphic designer.

DO NOT's

  • Avoid drugs or alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment, especially on the day itself.

  • If you feel unwell or are getting sick, please reschedule your appointment. It’s important for both you and our artists.

  • Do not come in if you have sunburn; let us know in advance.

  • Limit your support group to one friend to avoid distractions for the artist.

  • Never skip meals before your appointment.

  • Don’t schedule your tattoo appointment if you have important commitments immediately afterward; we take our time for precision.

  • Please don’t negotiate prices. Tattoos are a luxury, and quality work comes at a cost. If needed, save up before booking.

HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR NEW TATTOO

First Wash: Start by rinsing your tattoo in the shower to remove any excess ointment, dried blood, and lymphatic fluid. At the end, hold your tattoo under cold water for 30 seconds to close the pores. Pat dry with a paper towel. Moisturize once it’s completely dry. We recommend washing your tattoo before bed to prevent sticking to your sheets. Remember, keep it dry at night and avoid moisturizer until morning.

Note: Avoid using bar soap to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.

Every Wash: Use warm (not hot) water and antibacterial soap to gently wash your tattoo, removing any excess ointment and fluids. End with cold water for 30 seconds. Pat dry with a paper towel.

For aftercare cream, our team recommends Aveeno or Curel fragrance-free lotion. After thoroughly washing your hands, apply a thin layer of the cream so your tattoo has a slight shine without being overly wet. Remember, less is more—your tattoo needs to breathe.

For the next two weeks, wash your tattoo at least three times daily and apply aftercare lotion 3 to 5 times a day.
